The Master Speed 44 is a hybrid RACING/FITNESS kayak designed for heavier paddlers. Its hull has roughly the shape of the "K1 models of the golden ages", yet has more stability. Its narrowed catch area allows the paddler to put more power into the stroke and reach quite fast speeds.
Because of its position between FITNESS/TOURING & RACING models, paddlers using this model often choose a Racing seat. This gives a higher center of gravity, so you can practice an even higher angle paddling technique.

Available constructions
All our boats are available in different constructions in order to meet each customer's preferences. These have been set up to be in line with the requirements of each segment of the market - from hobbyists & clubs to top athletes - while providing the most favourable quality and price conditions for that specific group of users.
The following constructions differ in the raw materials and technologies applied during the manufacturing process. These together determine the stiffness, the weight and the overall interior look of the boat. In practice, an upper construction results a stiffer, more lightweight and more spectacular boat, but it requires more caution during use.
Besides, the standard and available fittings could be also different in different constructions. So we advise you to have a look at the "Fittings" section of this article as well.
STANDARD
- Materials: Solid laminate hull & deck: fiberglass / polyester resin
- Technology: hand lay-up
- Stiffness: 5/10
- Weight: 5/10
- Description: Composite boats manufactured in the traditional way, using fiberglass and hand-lay up only. The method is simple, but the result is a longlivety product that is easy to maintain and repair.
- Advised: Entry-level boats for hobby & recreational use or rentals. A wallet-friendly offer for those who are just looking for a reliable boat for spending their free time.
STANDARD+
- Materials: Solid laminate hull & deck: fiberglass + carbon-kevlar inlay (middle section) / polyester resin
- Technology: hand lay-up
- Stiffness: 6/10
- Weight: 6/10
- Description: These boats are also made of fiberglass using hand-lay up, but an additional carbon-kevlar inlay is used on the middle - most intensively used - section of the boat. This provides some additional stiffness and a more pleasing interior look. Still they are easy to maintain and repair and still quite economical.
- Advised: Good value for money boats for hobby and recreational paddlers or for heavy-duty use.
SUPER
- Materials: Sandwich cored hull & deck: carbon-kevlar reinforcement / vinyl ester resin
- Technology: vacuum bagging
- Stiffness: 8/10
- Weight: 8/10
- Description: Sandwich cored hulls together with advanced reinforcement materials and manufacturing technologies let us to reduce weight and improve stiffness at the same time. Carbon-kevlar reinforcement offers a remarkably good trade-off between these and the impact resistance of the hull.
- Advised: Those who are looking for a stiff, lightwight and good looking boat and don't mind the little more care.
EXTRA hard
- Materials: Sandwich cored hull & deck: carbon reinforcement / vinyl ester resin
- Technology: vacuum bagging
- Stiffness: 9/10
- Weight:8/10
- Description: Sandwich cored hulls together with advanced reinforcement materials and manufacturing technologies let us to reduce weight and improve stiffness at the same time. We have fine-tuned the choice of core materials & layers of carbon reinforcement to achieve more stiffness.
- Advised: Considering the weight and hardness ratio, this sub-construction is for fitness paddlers with higher expectations of the stiffness of their boat.
EXTRA+: With an alternative layer design and clear gelcoat, the carbon texture will be visible on the hull and/or deck - and results a cool & stylish look.
EXTRA light
- Materials: Sandwich cored hull & deck: ) / carbon reinforcement / vinyl ester resin
